Yonge + Rich: Coming this Spring!

When Great Gulf announces a condo in the heart of downtown Toronto, people take notice - and with the design of their Yonge + Rich project, we’re pretty sure everyone has their eyes on it!

Designed by architectsAlliance, Yonge + Rich will reach 50 storeys, with a geometric theme that many other new condos in Toronto are sporting. But, Great Gulf and architectsAlliance are doing it different than everyone else by including sleek components like seamless glass balconies. By the look of the rendering, it looks like there will also be some green roofs or terraces with gardens. You don’t often see a powerful, cutting edge condo with this much green space - it’s great!    

The suites at Yonge + Rich will come in one- and two-bedroom floorplans, with the majority of the sizes ranging from 500 to 926 square feet. Some of the impressive interior features and finishes include floor-to-ceiling windows, pre-finished engineered flooring, and Burdifilek-designed kitchens.   

Peter Clewes, Partner at the award-winning firm architectsAlliance, said in a press release that, “Each suite has been carefully placed to ensure as much window exposure as possible, so as to create a glorious shower of natural light.” 

Diego Burdi, Creative Director at the interior design firm Burdifilek, continued to explain the suites’ design: “We designed Yonge + Rich with a practical functionality in mind...We want residents to get the most out of every square foot of their space so, for example, we designed most outdoor balconies as an additional room, many of which are up to eight-feet wide. That’s plenty of real living space, more than enough room for outdoor furniture, outdoor cooking and outdoor lounging.”

In Great Gulf’s press release for Yonge + Rich, Alan Vihant, the Senior Vice President for High Rise at Great Gulf, stated: “There are few neighbourhoods like Yonge + Rich anywhere in Canada...Situated within the dynamic energy and excitement of Toronto’s downtown core, it has the buzz of the Financial District, the fun of Dundas Square and the Eaton Centre, and it’s close to Ryerson and the University of Toronto. It really offers residents all of the conveniences they could ask for right at their doorstep while still providing the charm of quaint streets, hidden laneways and plenty of parks.”

Located just east of Yonge and Richmond St., Yonge + Rich will also be within a close proximity to major highways, Toronto’s underground PATH system, and of course, the Yonge Subway line. So, even though you’ll already be surrounded by the best, anywhere else in Toronto and beyond is yours to explore.
