On July 24, 2013, we headed out to Richmond Hill to celebrate the Xpression Condos groundbreaking with the Zancor Homes team.

Proud purchasers, registrants, local councillors, as well as the team behind Xpression Condos were all in attendance with Zancor principals Fabrizio Cortellucci and Nick Cortellucci for the official groundbreaking ceremony. To begin the celebration, everyone gathered around the Xpression Condos model to hear a few words from Jeff Clark of Baker Real Estate:

“Baker Real Estate and especially the team here are honoured to represent Zancor and Fabrizio in the sales of Xpression Condominiums. So, on behalf of Baker Real Estate and myself, personally, we want to congratulate you on the official launch of construction for Xpression Condos. This project will definitely redefine Yonge and 16th, and Richmond Hill for that matter. It’s going to be home eventually to 450 families, and the beautiful architecture that you see here is really going to make this a landmark project for Richmond Hill.”

Clark then passed the figurative mic to Deputy Mayor Vito Spatafora, who introduced the local councillors in attendance, Lynn Foster, Nick Papa, Greg Beros, Carmine Perelli, and Goodwin Chan. Spatafora also commented on Xpression Condos:

“We’re very impressed with what Zancor’s done. This is Zancor’s pilot project and it’s going to be their flagship. Zancor isn’t just a developer coming into this community, they’re a family that lives in Richmond Hill and is producing the wonderful quality that was talked about. We know that you’re going to make this flagship stand out. I can tell by the quality of the design, the quality of the materials being used, and the mixed-uses being brought in.There’s thinking about how this is going to fit in the community, and it’s not just putting up a building - it’s building a community.”

Spatafora then presented a certificate to Fabrizio Cortellucci on behalf of the Town of Richmond Hill, the Mayor, and members of council, extending their congratulations and thanks for bringing a development like Xpression Condos to their community.

After the speeches, everyone headed out to the site to watch the Zancor team and councillors dig up some dirt. The real excitement started when Nick Cortellucci, Fabrizio’s father, jumped in the backhoe and started some real digging!

When Xpression Condos is complete, it will stand 15 storeys tall and feature two towers sharing a podium. The suites in the north tower range in size from 491 to 1,029 square feet, and prices start at $279,900.
