By Penny on Aug 22, 2014
As we brace ourselves for another Canadian winter and start getting ready to go back to school, it’s important not to miss out on the last events of the summer!
So what’s going on?

Taking over Yonge Street from Queen to College, including the Yonge-Dundas Square, Trinity Square Park and Gould Street on the Ryerson campus, this huge event is thrown in support of Epilepsy Toronto. As a benefit for the four days of the festival, all performances at the Yonge-Dundas Square will be raising money for the cause, so make sure to stop by and contribute! Mini night-market - Financial District
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to check out a new trend that has been causing quite the stir all summer! Best known for its Twilight Tuesdays, where from 5 - 9 pm, Toronto’s trendiest restaurants like the Drake One-Fifty, Momofuku and others turn the parkette on York Street between Richmond and Adelaide into a mini-night market with food and drink tickets costing about $5 per item. Running until the end of August, the best part is not the food (believe it or not), it’s that the proceeds from the food sales all go to a local not-for-profit organization. Go get yourself a mini pulled pork sandwich and yakitori, slushies or soft serve ice cream before it’s too late!
