Will the new low-rise inventory satisfy demand until the spring?
By Lucas on Jan 25, 2016
According to Trimart Research Corporation, the Total Market Area’s (TMA) year-end sales for new low-rise homes in 2015 was the highest it’s been in the last 10 years! With nearly 25,000 new low-rise sales last year, prices were up due to low inventory levels. But, Trimart is reporting that December 2015 actually saw a 6% jump in inventory, so hopefully the new low-rise inventory is well stocked enough to satisfy demand until the industry hits the market hard with exciting spring releases.
Listed below are a few notable low-rise sites of the last month:
Mount Pleasant North by Mattamy Homes
Coming in first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list with 15 sales last month is Mount Pleasant North/Village, a very popular Brampton community by Mattamy Homes. The community features two-storey townhomes, as well as 30’, 38’, and 45’ detached homes, ranging from 1,434 to 3,411 square feet. Prices at Mount Pleasant are starting at $428,990.
Fieldstone by Brookfield
The second spot is taken by Fieldstone, a luxury community in Mono by Brookfield Homes. With 10 sales last month, Fieldstone is the community to turn to if you’re in search of a large lot. The detached homes are available on 60’, 70’, and 100’ lots, and range from 2,240 to 3,690 square feet. The amazing thing about Fieldstone is that you’re getting a spacious home on a large lot for a relatively affordable price, with prices starting at $684,990.
Seven Oaks by Fernbrook
Placing third with seven sales recently is Seven Oaks, Fernbrook Homes’ highly successful, luxury Oakville community. The townhomes are sold out, but there are 38’ and 43’ detached homes available, ranging from 2,469 to 3,791 square feet. Prices start at $969,990 and range to more than $1.1 million.
