Will spring releases provide enough inventory for the new home market?
By Lucas on Mar 16, 2016
According to Trimart Research Corporation’s latest report, they are still recording new low-rise sales from February, and it’s looking like last month was very successful!
As expected, Brampton and Oakville saw a lot of sales, and it looks like Pickering is also seeing a strong start to 2016. Builders are now preparing for their late March and early April releases, so there will be a surge of new inventory hitting the market soon, and with such a high demand in the new low-rise market, it’s looking like this is going to be one of the highest selling springs in recent years.
Listed below are a few notable low-rise sites of the last month:
Springvalley by Royal Pine Homes
Coming in first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list with 17 sales last month is Springvalley Village, a successful Brampton community by Royal Pine Homes. All of the semis at Springvalley are now sold out, but there are still a few 38’ detached homes available, ranging from 2,270 to 3,000 square feet, with prices starting as low as $691,900. Royal Pine Homes is currently offering a $10,000 upgrade bonus on the 38’ detached homes, so now is the time to act!
Mayfield Village by Regal Crest Homes
There’s another Brampton community occupying the second position; Mayfield Village by Regal Crest Homes saw 16 sales last month! This community features a wide variety of home types including 20’ and 25’ townhomes, 30’ semis, and 38’ and 45’ detached homes. The homes range from 1,676 to 3,174 square feet, and prices start from $464,900.
Queensville by Aspen Ridge Homes
Tying for second is Queensville, an East Gwillimbury community by Aspen Ridge Homes. The community features 23’ and 25’ townhomes and 36’ detached homes, ranging from 1,413 to 2,515 square feet. Prices are starting from as low as $512,990. East Gwillimbury saw a surprisingly high amount of new low-rise sales last year, and while it’s not in the top three for the beginning of 2016, we expect East Gwillimbury to have another very successful year!
Lotus Pointe by Rosehaven Homes
Placing third with 11 sales last month is Lotus Pointe, Rosehaven Homes’ amazing Caledon community. Lotus Pointe features two- and three-storey townhomes, as well as 36’ detached homes, ranging from 1,461 to 2,722 square feet. Prices start from $465,990. Lotus Pointe has been very successful over the last year because of its location in south Caledon, giving homebuyers easy access to Brampton amenities.
Kingmeadow by Minto
The final position is taken by Kingmeadow, Minto’s master-planned Oshawa community that saw nine sales last month. The community currently features 43’ detached homes ranging from 2,514 to 2,968 square feet. Minto will soon be releasing a brand new collection of 36’ detached homes and townhomes. Prices for the 43’ detached homes are starting from $677,990.
