Will new low-rise sales stay strong into the winter?
By Lucas on Nov 16, 2016
Thanks to many new low-rise openings in October 2016, the Total Market Area (TMA) has seen a lot of action, says Trimart Research Corporation. The sales numbers are still coming in for October, but it’s looking like builders saw a lot of success in Brampton, Oakville, Milton, Stouffville, and East Gwillimbury last month! We’re aware of a few more openings in November, so it’s looking like the strong sales of September and October may push into the winter.
Listed below are a few notable low-rise sites of the last month:
Hawthorne South Village by Mattamy Homes
Placing first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list is Hawthorne South Village in Milton by Mattamy Homes. There was a new release last month that saw 142 sales! The community features village homes, rear lane townhomes, and two-storey townhomes, ranging from 1,113 to 1,975 square feet. Prices start at $435,990 and stay tuned for a new release of rear lane townhomes!
Coming in second is Urban Towns, a very successful Vaughan community by Greenpark. During opening weekends, there were 94 sales and now the community is sold out! The community featured townhomes ranging from 2,054 to 3,003 square feet. Many buyers are turning to larger townhomes as an alternative to the increasingly expensive detached home market.
TIME Village by Treasure Hill Homes
The third spot is taken by TIME Village, a new home community in Aurora by Treasure Hill Homes. During the opening weekends, there were 78 sales at TIME. The community features urban townhomes ranging from 975 to 1,560 square feet with prices starting at $599,990. Aurora is one of the most affluent towns in Canada and has become one of the most highly sought after areas for families looking for a place to grow.
Mount Pleasant by Rosehaven Homes
Coming in fourth with 27 sales last month is The Neighbourhoods of Mount Pleasant by Rosehaven Homes. This successful Brampton community features two-storey townhomes over 1,300 square feet, with prices starting at $588,990. There is another new release coming in early 2017, so stay tuned!
The final position on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list is taken by Hometown, a new home community in Sharon Village by Fernbrook Homes. There were 13 sales at Hometown last month. The community features 25’, 30’, and 35’ detached homes ranging from 1,713 to 3,071 square feet. Prices start at $849,990 and go up to just over $1 million.
