Welcome to the neighbourhood: Buying a new home this fall
By Lucas on Aug 02, 2016
Is anyone else having a really hard time grasping the fact that it’s already August? 2016 seems to be flying by. Without a doubt, this year has been a constant story of rising prices and low inventory of new homes across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Still, demand remains strong and now we’re only a few weeks away from the busiest homebuying season of the year!
Summer is always a slower time for new home sales. People are travelling, going to the cottage, spending time outdoors, and trying to relax. Making the largest purchase of your life isn’t usually on your summer to-do list. In response, the majority of builders and developers use this time to prepare for fall releases and openings.
Throughout August, more details about new home communities across the GTA will begin popping up. You’ll see new model homes unveiled, preview dates announced, pricing released, and many new purchasing incentives. September and October always prove to be a couple of the busiest months for the new home industry.
That’s why we’re spending all of August preparing you to make the big move and purchase a new home. We will be providing tips on how to let go of your first home, what to look for when downsizing, how to acquaint yourself with a new neighbourhood, how to make friends with neighbours in a condo or on a new street, and much more!
There’s a lot more to buying a new home than the act of actually buying it. If you have a family, you are changing many lives. Your kids may have to change schools, you might need a new job or you have a new job and that’s why you’re moving. You have to decorate to make your new home feel like your new home and depending on where you move, you might have a whole new town or city to get to know.
Stay tuned for a number of interesting features that will make you more confident and excited about making a new home purchase this fall!
