If you’re in search of a distinct home in an up-and-coming neighbourhood, then you should definitely visit Uptownes at Cardinal Point in Stouffville by Geranium Homes. You should act quickly though because the community is now 85% sold!
The final two blocks at Uptownes are now selling. The last time we visited Uptownes was when we met up with Boaz Feiner, president of Geranium Homes Housing Division, to tour the new model homes. This was our first time walking through a “stacked back-to-back townhome,” as Feiner calls them. It’s difficult to explain the concept, so taking a tour of the models is very important. Basically, the townhomes are back-to-back and stacked, just like the name suggests. The homes are technically three-storeys, but in each home there is a staircase from the third floor to a fourth floor rooftop terrace that has barbecue hook up lines. Uptownes is surrounded by single and two-storey homes and Stouffville’s stunning landscape, so the views from Uptownes’ rooftops and even the third floors are actually quite amazing.

A few of the interior features and finishes include open concept plans, 10’ ceilings and oversized windows, European-style kitchens, ceramic tile, high quality laminate flooring, and extra long, private garages. The thing that really stands out about the townhomes is Jo-Ann Capelaci’s approach to the interior design. The two-bedroom homes in the final two blocks range from 1,401 to 1,639 square feet, and the plans take advantage of every square inch. Every floor has a clear purpose and no space is wasted with hallways. The ground floor is whatever you want it to be; a foyer, a fitness room, yoga studio, an office, a playroom, your choice! The second floor is the main living space where you’ll find the kitchen and living room. Then the third floor is where the bedrooms are. You really have to walk through them to get the full experience.
Paying a visit to the Uptownes models will also give you a chance to see how construction is progressing. Geranium went to great lengths to design Uptownes in a manner that complemented not only the Cardinal Point community, but also the surrounding architecture throughout Stouffville. The stone detailing, brickwork, and arched entryways blend seamlessly with neighbouring homes, and the blocks are laid out in a fashion that allows for smooth undisruptive vehicular traffic.
