Two Old Mill: A Guaranteed Success

Kirkor Architects is responsible for the sleek, classic design. Resembling its sibling residence, Two Old Mill seems to consist of many cubic formations intersecting, weaved together by a web of floor-to-ceiling windows and smooth precast. The interior will be exquisite, yet welcoming, modern, but traditional; the perfect mix of all the right kinds of design. Some of the building’s luxurious amenities will include an indoor pool and whirlpool, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, a yoga studio, his and hers steam rooms, a dining room, a vibrant party room with bar and kitchen, and a theatre.
Two Old Mill’s prime location, next to the trendy Bloor Street West, is the one extra characteristic that launches its desirability through the roof. The Old Mill neighbourhood itself has an extremely rich history and is certainly worth noting. The mill was built in the late 1700’s, which attracted many European settlers. In 1914, Robert Home Smith opened the Old Mill Tea Garden Restaurant, and it attracted the highest class of people. Since then, the community has expanded dramatically; new neighbourhoods began to pop up in the 1920’s and 30’s, and many other shops and restaurants opened for business. Today, the eclectic neighbourhood features a wide array of classy boutiques with high-end fashions, fine dining, and much of the early 20th century homes are still standing, accenting the area with vivid memories of a vibrant heritage.
