Trimart: Top Low-Rise Sites of 2013
By Lucas on Feb 13, 2014
Last week, Trimart discussed the top new low-rise builders of 2013, and now they have released their list of the top selling sites of 2013! Last year, the Total Market Area saw 18,061 new low-rise sales, which is a 2.2% increase compared to the 17,679 sales in 2012. The first half of 2013 was very successful with 9,227 sales, but the second half was held back slightly by the tightening of mortgage rules, increased development charges, and negative coverage in the media. With builders catering to first-time buyers and end-users and everyone adjusting to the mortgage rules, 2014 should be even more successful than last year!
Listed below are Trimart’s top selling low-rise sites of 2013:
Placing first with an amazing 675 sales last year is Mount Pleasant North/Village by Mattamy Homes in Brampton. Mount Pleasant features detached homes on 30’, 36’, and 38’ lots, as well as three-storey townhomes. The homes range from 612 to 2,808 square feet and prices start as low as $202,990.
With 373 sales last year, second place is taken by The Preserve, another Mattamy Homes community, which is located in Oakville. The Preserve features an extensive collection of 34’, 38’, 45’, and 50’ detached homes, ranging from 1,988 to 5,453 square feet. Prices start at $624,990.
