Trimart: Top Builders of 2013

Well into 2014, Trimart Research Corporation is still releasing some exciting stats from last year. According to Trimart’s findings, the top selling low-rise builders of 2013 were Mattamy Homes with 1,664 sales, Minto with 814, Fernbrook Homes saw 654, Fieldgate achieved 650, and Paradise Homes had 513.
Recently, Bank of Canada announced that its key policy interest rate will stay where it’s been for the last three years, at 1%. They also announced that inflation has been lower than expected. With this in mind, keep your eye out for a successful 2014 for the new low-rise market.
Listed below are a few notable sites of the last month:
Placing first on this week’s Trimart report is Riverview Heights, a new Brampton community by Great Gulf that saw 31 sales last month. Riverview Heights features a collection of 38’ and 46’ detached homes, as well as a series of semis. The homes range from 1,645 to 4,090 square feet, and prices start at $469,990.
Taking second place with 13 sales is Manhattan - Upper West Side, a Pratt Homes development in Barrie. Manhattan offers a great collection of low-rise condo units ranging from 606 to 1,902 square feet. These units start as low as $165,990.
Third place is taken by Huron Woods, a Kitchener community by Freure Homes that saw six sales last month. Huron Woods features 38’ detached homes, and a collection of townhomes. The homes range from 1,293 to 2,959 square feet, and prices start at $251,900.
Placing fourth, also with six sales, is The Preserve, an Oakville community by Mattamy Homes. The Preserve features 34’, 38’, 45’, and 50’ detached homes ranging from 1,988 to 5,453 square feet. Prices start at $624,990.
Coming in fifth with five sales is Impressions, a Kleinburg community by Fieldgate Homes. At Impressions, Fieldgate is offering a wide array of home types, including 30’, 38’, and 44’ detached homes, 20’ and 23’ rear lane homes, 28’ homes attached by the garage, and 28’ semis. The homes range from 1,724 to 3,600 square feet, and prices start as low as $484.990.
The sixth spot belongs to Orchard Park, a Stouffville community by Minto that achieved five sales last month. Orchard Park features a variety of townhomes, including terrace towns and urban towns. The homes range from 1,256 to 1,879 square feet and are priced as low as $339,990.
