The top 10 cities in the Greater Toronto Area accounted for 60% of the total sales. Brampton finished in the top spot for the year with 3,295 sales. Markham placed second with 1,665 sales, while Milton finished third with 1,493 sales in 2010.
The top ten builders captured 41.8% of the low rise sales market. First place went to Mattamy Homes with 2,075 sales. Fernbrook Homes took second place with 820 sales, while Great Gulf Homes was third on the list with 700 sales.
First on the list is the Mattamy Homes development, Mount Pleasant Village. It features Urban Town Homes - ranging from 1,568-1,976 Sq. Ft.- priced at $288,990 to start. They also feature 3 storey towns - ranging from 1,359-1,968 Sq. Ft.- priced at $274,990 to start. For those looking for detached homes, Mount Pleasant Village features homes on 30'-26' lots, ranging from 1,337-2,540 sq. ft. Prices start at $330,990. Mount Pleasant Village was a huge success for Mattamy over the past month with 48 sales.
Third on the list is Grand View, a development by Great Gulf Homes. Grand View is a master planned community, located at Taunton Road and Harmony Road in Oshawa. Grand View features detached homes on 36',40' and 50' lots, with prices starting at $266,990. The homes range from 1,680-3,555 sq. ft. Great Gulf Homes continues to see strong success at Grand View, with 15 sales in the past month.
Fourth on the list is Eagle Hills, a development by Touchstone Homes. Eagle Hills witnessed 9 sales in the last month. Located at Peter Rupert and Major McKenzie Dr, Eagle Hills features 1,444-1908 Sq. Ft. town homes priced from $389,900. They also feature homes on 25' lots, ranging from 1,802-2,265 Sq. Ft., and priced to start from $449,900.
