Trimart Predicts Strong Spring 2015 Sales for New Low-Rise Market
By Lucas on Feb 17, 2015
With a strong beginning to the year, Trimart Research Corporation is predicting strong spring 2015 sales for the new low-rise market. There are many new openings and releases planned for the spring months, and with Statistics Canada’s announcement that employment was up 35,000 in January and the unemployment rate decreased to 6.6%, there are more families out there looking to purchase a new home. Heading into this strong season, Trimart says to keep an eye on Kleinburg and East Gwillimbury because there are many builders with big plans for these areas.
Listed below are a few notable sites of the last month:
Mount Pleasant North - via Mattamy Homes
We’ve honestly lost count of how many times Mattamy Homes’ Mount Pleasant North/Village has topped the Trimart’s Hot Spots list. Last month, Mattamy’s Mount Pleasant community in Brampton saw 43 sales. The community features rear lane townhomes, two-storey and three-storey towns, as well as 30’ and 38’ detached homes, ranging from 1,362 to 2,808 square foot. Prices start at $350,990.
Sharon Village - via Great Gulf Homes
The second position is taken by Sharon Village by Great Gulf Homes, an East Gwillimbury community featuring 32’, 36’, and 40’ detached homes. Prices were starting in the low $500,000s, but guess what? With 25 sales last month, all the singles have sold out! This is not uncommon in East Gwillimbury. The demand for detached living is very strong in this town, and since the area is part of the Places to Grow Act, there is a lot of development and infrastructure headed there.
9130 Bathurst - via Senator Homes
Taking the third spot with 12 sales last month is Bathurst 9130, a luxury townhome community in Richmond Hill by Senator Homes. The beautiful townhomes range from 1,765 to 2,454 square feet and prices start at $719,990. You will see a lot of new 2,000 square foot townhomes hitting the market this year, and expect prices to rise gradually throughout the year.
Mayfield Village - via Regal Crest Homes
Coming in fourth is another Brampton community, Mayfield Village by Regal Crest Homes. This community say nine sales last month. Regal Crest’s offering at the Mayfield Village master-plan includes townhomes, semis, and 32’, 38’, and 45’ detached homes. The homes range from 1,622 to 3,174 square feet with prices starting at $385,900. Construction is now in full swing at Mayfield Village, many of the singles and live/work towns are shaping up nicely!
Westminster Highlands - via Reid's Heritage Homes
Tying for fourth, also achieving nine sales last month, is Westminster Highlands by Reid’s Heritage Homes. This Fergus community features a very wide range of home types, including urban townhomes, bungalow towns, two-storey towns, and 38’, 42’, and 50’ detached homes. Sizes range from 339 to 3,056 square feet and prices start at a very affordable $119,900. With a price point this low, Westminster Highlands is a great prospect for first-time homebuyers.
Lotus Pointe - via Greenpark
Slipping into the final position on the weekly Trimart Hot Spots list is Lotus Pointe by Greenpark. This Caledon community saw five sales last month thanks to some incredible incentives, which are still being offered. Depending on the home you purchase, you could receive a premium appliance package or thousands of dollars towards free upgrades. Greenpark’s offering at Lotus Pointe includes semis and 41’ and 43’ detached homes, ranging from 1,756 to 3,615 square feet. Prices start at $465,990.
