Trimart: New Low-Rise Sector on Track

According to Trimart Research Corporation, there have been 11,716 new low-rise sales in the Total Market Area (TMA) as of the end of August 2013. This is 65% of Trimart’s annual forecast. Although August’s number of sales (1,187) seems kind of low, it is a 36.1% increase from August 2012. Trimart’s report also states that the last three months of 2013 have been performing better than the same time last year.
Listed below are some notable sites for the last month:
Placing first on Trimart’s weekly report is Mount Pleasant North, a Brampton community by Mattamy, which achieved 45 sales last month. Mount Pleasant North features detached homes on lots ranging from 30’ to 45’, as well as village homes, three-storey townhomes, and urban townhomes. Sizes range from 1,031 to 3,411 square feet, and prices are starting at $259,990.
Coming in second is The Towns at Parkside Village by Amacon. Located in Mississauga, The Towns at Parkside Village saw 33 sales last month. This very popular community features urban townhomes ranging from 1,676 to 1,830 square feet. Prices are starting at $543,900.
Third place is taken by Waterlilies, an Oakville community by Fernbrook Homes that witnessed 12 sales last month. At Waterlilies, Fernbrook is offering urban townhomes ranging from 855 to 1,096 square feet. Prices are starting at $309,900.
With 10 sales, Greenbrook Village in Shelburne by Lakeview Homes places fourth. Greenbrook Village features a wide variety of detached homes on 40’ lots, with sizes ranging from 860 to 3,240 square feet. Prices can be found as low as $279,990.
Placing fifth on this week’s Trimart report is Grandview/Stonecrest, an Oshawa community by Great Gulf Homes, which achieved eight sales last month. Grandview/Stonecrest features semi-detached homes on 22’ lots, as well as detached homes on 30’ and 36’ lots. Prices are starting at $294,990.
