Trimart: New Low-Rise Sales Expected to Surge

According to Trimart Research Corporation, new low-rise sales are slow due to “shifting economic times.” But, you should expect to see site traffic increase dramatically during the first few months of 2014 as builders adjust their marketing strategies to appeal to consumer demands. Veteran industry consultant, Barry Lyon believes that the industry will be promoting their communities to end-users and first-time buyers.
Listed below are a few notable sites of the last month:
Placing first on this week’s Trimart report with 34 sales last month is U.C., an Oshawa project by Tribute Communities. U.C. features 30’, 36’, and 40’ detached homes, as well as a collection of semis. The homes range from 1,444 to 5,578 square feet, and prices start at just $297,990.
Coming in second is Village of Southfields, a Monarch community in Caledon that saw 20 sales last month. Village of Southfields offers 43’ detached homes and a series of townhomes, with sizes ranging from 1,630 to 3,971 square feet. Prices can be found as low as $391,990.
With 18 sales last month, Aspen Heights, a Cambridge community by Reid’s Heritage Homes takes third place. Aspen Heights features a great selection of townhomes ranging from 1,276 to 1,374 square feet. Prices start as low as $261,900.
Placing fourth is St. John’s Forest, an Aurora community by Mattamy Homes that achieved 16 sales last month. St. John’s Forest features 30’ and 36’ detached homes, as well as townhomes. The homes range from 1,675 to 2,564 square feet and prices start at $469,990.
Coming in fifth with 13 sales last month is Fieldgate Homes’ Valleylands community in Brampton. At Valleylands, Fieldgate is offering beautiful Link homes, and a wide selection of detached homes, with lots ranging from 38’ to 70’. The homes range from 1,565 to 4,323 square feet and prices start at just $409,990.
In sixth place on Trimart’s report with 11 sales is Waterlilies, an Oakville community by Fernbrook Homes. Waterlilies features an array of urban townhomes, ranging from 946 to 1,096 square feet. Prices can be found as low as $321,900.
