Trimart: Low-Rise Inventory Levels Stable

According to this week’s report from Trimart Research Corporation, the Total Market Area saw 1,804 new low-rise sales in May 2014. The East region saw the biggest gain with 102.8 percent more sales than the same period last year, and the Central region saw 50 percent more sales. Inventory levels are also up, with a 22.2 percent increase compared to May 2013 and a 0.1 percent increase since April 2014. Trimart credits a number of new openings and releases in the East region for the recent success.

Charing Cross - via Lancaster Homes

Coming in first place on this week’s Trimart report is Trimart first-timer, Charing Cross by Lancaster Homes. This Oshawa community saw 75 sales in its opening month. Charing Cross features 36’ and 40’ detached homes, ranging from 1,730 to 3,015 square feet. Prices start from $388,990.

Charing Cross - via Falconcrest Homes

Placing second is Falconcrest Homes’ offering at Charing Cross! When the community opened, Falconcrest made 53 sales. Their collection also features 36’ and 40’ detached homes, ranging from 1,795 to 3,006 square feet. Prices for Falconcrest’s Charing Cross homes are priced roughly the same, starting at $375,990.

St. John's Forest - via Mattamy Homes

The third spot is taken by Mattamy Homes’ Aurora community, St. John’s Forest, which saw 47 sales last month. The remaining homes include towns, village homes, and 30’, 36’, and 45’ detached homes, with sizes ranging from 1,044 to 3,739 square feet. Prices can be found as low as $354,990.

Longbranch - via Minto

Fourth place is taken by Longbranch, Minto’s urban townhome community in Toronto. The available homes range from 1,060 to 1,700 square feet and prices start as low as $374,900.

Marigold - temporarily sold out - via Townwood Homes

Coming in fifth, with 20 sales last month, is Marigold in Castlemore by Townwood Homes. This new Brampton community features semi-detached homes ranging from 2,070 to 2,554 square feet. Marigold is temporarily sold out!

Southfields - via Monarch

Placing sixth on this week’s Trimart report is Village of Southfields, a Monarch community in Caledon that had 14 sales last month. Southfields offers townhomes and 43’ detached homes, ranging from 1,630 to 3,971 square feet. Prices can be found as low as $391,990.
