Trimart: Brampton Still Best Selling City for New Low-Rise

December is a traditionally slow month for the new home industry, but Trimart Research Corporation believes that the high number of new low-rise openings in November is going to prove fruitful for the beginning of 2014. Trimart recorded a total of 18,061 new low-rise sales in the Total Market Area for 2013. As of the end of last December, Brampton remains the top selling city with a total of 4,002 sales last year!
Listed below are few notable sites of the last month:
Placing first on the Trimart report with 15 sales last month is Upper Unionville, a Markham community by Starlane Homes. Upper Unionville features townhomes on 24’ lots, as well as a collection of semis. The homes range from 1,618 to 2,095 square feet, and prices can be found as low as $550,880.
Coming in second is Mount Pleasant North/Village, a Brampton community by Mattamy Homes, which saw 10 sales last month. Mount Pleasant features 30’, 36’, and 38’ detached homes and three-storey townhomes, ranging from 612 to 2,808 square feet. Prices start at just $202,990.
Third place is taken by Potter’s Bend by Fieldgate Homes, a Markham community with seven sales last month. Potter’s Bend features detached homes on 35’ lots, and semis on 30’ lots, with sizes ranging from 1,564 to 2,389 square feet. Prices start at $579,990.
Taking the fourth spot with six sales last month is Minto’s Toronto development, Longbranch. This new community features a wide selection of urban townhomes ranging from 1,261 to 1,545 square feet. Prices start as low as $435,900.
Coming in fifth with five sales last month is Grand Central, a Bradford community by Brookfield Homes. Grand Central features a huge collection of detached homes on lots ranging from 27’ to 50’, and a few semis, too. The homes range from 1,146 to 3,340 square feet, and prices start at just $299,990.
The sixth spot is taken by The Chateaus, a Georgetown community by Fernbrook that also saw five sales last month. The Chateaus features detached homes on 40’ and 50’ lots, ranging from 1,286 to 3,552 square feet. You can call The Chateaus home for as little as $539,990.
