Trimart: 74% of Annual Forecast Achieved

As of the end of September, the new low-rise market has reached 74% of Trimart Research Corporation’s annual forecast. With 1,542 new low-rise sales, September saw an increase of 26% compared to August. The most successful region of the Total Market Area so far this year is the Central region of the Greater Toronto Area. Low-rise inventory also increased by 3.9% in September compared to the previous month; Trimart credits the 17 new openings and 19 releases.
Listed below are notable sites of the last month:
Placing first on this week’s Trimart report is Kingmeadow, an Oshawa community by Minto, which achieved 41 sales last month. Kingmeadow features detached homes on 36’ and 43’ lots, as well as a collection of townhomes. Sizes range from 1,068 to 3,502 square feet, and prices start at $229,990.
Coming in second with 18 sales last month is St. John’s Forest by Mattamy Homes in Aurora. St. John’s Forest offers detached singles on 30’ and 36’ lots and a series of townhomes. The homes range from 1,675 to 2,564 square feet, and prices can be found as low as $469,990.
Third place is taken by Fernbrook Homes’ Oakville community, Waterlilies, with 13 sales last month. There is a great selection of urban townhomes at Waterlilies, ranging from 855 to 1,096 square feet. Prices start at $316,900.
Placing fourth, also with 13 sales, is Grand Central, a Bradford development by Brookfield Homes. Grand Central features a wide array of home styles including townhomes and semi-detached, as well as detached singles on lots ranging from 27’ to 43’. Sizes span from 1,146 to 2,950 square feet and prices begin at just $299,990.
Coming in fifth on this week’s Trimart report is Landscapes, a Brampton project by Tribute Communities, which achieved 12 sales last month. At Landscapes, Tribute is offering a collection of semi-detached homes ranging from 1,316 to 3,527 square feet. Prices are starting at $398,990.
