Tridel Wins the Most Awards at the BILD Awards
By Lucas on May 01, 2015
The Newinhomes.com team would like to take a second to recognize the most winning developer of the 35th annual BILD Awards. With six awards, The Tridel Corporation lived up to their superb reputation, walking away with the Green Home Builder of the Year (High-Rise) Award and the Best Places to Grow Community of the Year (High-Rise) Award for Aquavista at Bayside in Toronto.

Handing the Green Home Builder of the Year Award to Tridel is practically a tradition at the BILD Awards. Since the Green Home Builder of the Year Award’s inception in 2007, Tridel has won six times! That means Tridel has won it every time aside from two times since the award has existed. The Green Home Builder of the Year Award recognizes a developer’s commitment to designing and building sustainable and high-performance communities. The Award also represents leadership in the implementation and practice of green building.

The Best P2G (Places to Grow) Community Award goes to the developer or builder that best exemplifies the Province of Ontario’s vision and policy objectives in the Places to Grow Act.
“We are honoured to receive such an important distinction for our work on Toronto’s waterfront,” says Jim Ritchie, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Tridel. “This award recognizes our commitment to the province’s program for a smarter future. In partnership with Hines and Waterfront Toronto, the Bayside community will be a shining example of how proper planning for intensification and development growth in the future is pivotal to the revitalization and transformation of our city.”

The other four awards won by Tridel are:
- Best E-mail Marketing Piece (High-Rise)
- Best Suite Design (750 to 1,500 square feet) for Aquavista
- Best Model Suite for 300 Front Street West, which was designed by Stella Salvador and the Tridel Interior Design Team
- Best Salesperson or Team for Alter, honouring Winson chan and Winnie Chan
A couple of Tridel’s current communities
Tridel has many communities in the works, probably the most out of any developer in the GTA. Let’s highlight a couple for which they won awards: AQUAVISTA - via TridelAquavista at Bayside
Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to visit the Aquavista presentation centre to chat with Tara Stone, one of Tridel’s sales representatives (who also deserves an award in our opinion!). We discussed how Aquavista features many larger luxury units and is attracting a great deal of end-users. This is obviously a strategic move by Tridel because they understand that in order for Toronto’s waterfront to flourish, it needs residents that are there to stay and actually have something invested in the neighbourhood. The available floor plans at Aquavista start at 524 square feet and range up to 3,771 square feet, with prices ranging from $370,000 to over $3.5 million. Alter - via TridelAlter
Boasting a head turning design planned for Church and Carlton in Toronto, Alter will rise 33 storeys, featuring expanses of white and grey glass, bringing a bold perspective to the neighbourhood. Since Tridel won an award for Best Salesperson or Team for Alter, you must understand why there aren’t that many suites remaining. There is one three-bedroom available, which is 832 square feet and starts from $527,000. The Loft Collection features suites sized around 900 square feet, starting from the low $700,000s.Congratulation to the entire Tridel team on their big win at this year’s BILD Awards. We can't wait for many more years of award-winning designs, teams, and master-planned communities.Feature image: Best P2G Award - via bildawards.com
