Incredible Amount of Townhomes Sell in a Single Day at Oakvillage!
By Lucas on Apr 02, 2015
There’s been a lot of talk about how Oakville will once again be among the top selling low-rise cities this year. In 2014, Oakville had the third most sales of new low-rise homes in all of the GTA, thanks to a release late last year. Now that Minto and Branthaven are teaming up at Oakvillage, there’s a good chance Oakville will stay in the top three.
Oakvillage is a community of affordable freehold townhomes at the northeast corner of Trafalgar and Dundas Street East, nestled next to 300 kilometres of woodland trails. Phase 1 features two-storey and three-storey townhomes and back-to-back townhomes, ranging from 1,190 to 2,175 square feet, boasting a collection of unique designs, from modern to traditional, to west coast contemporary.

“These are beautiful, tailored living spaces,” says Steve Stipsits, President of Branthaven. “They are very bright, open and leave room for your family to grow, with the perfect blend of attainability, quality, and accessibility for anyone looking to live their life in Oakville’s most sought after new community.”

Branthaven’s award-winning interior designs are due to their Fresh Thinking™ features. The gourmet kitchens will feature many extras, like deep pantries, enhanced storage, and under-cabinet iPad mounts. The spa-style bathrooms have deep soaker tubs, sophisticated floating vanities, and sleek marble counters.
With a wide selection of townhomes over 2,000 square feet, Oakvillage is catering to those looking for an alternative to detached living, which has grown too expensive for many homebuyers in the GTA. “Not only are townhomes more affordable, the floor plans keep getting bigger, making them a viable option for young families looking for that detached feel,” explains Amanda Wilson Watkins, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Minto. Prices at Oakvillage start in the low $400,000s.

Last weekend, Minto and Branthaven hosted a VIP preview event for hundreds of Oakvillage registrants, releasing a large selection of the Phase 1 townhomes. Needless to say, the lineup was long and those who got there early walked away with a new amazing townhome. There are a few back-to-back townhomes still available. Minto’s pretty familiar with this kind of first-day success. Perhaps you remember a few weeks ago when Minto previewed their Queen’s Landing community in East Gwillimbury. They sold 90 homes in the first three hours of opening!
“We are so excited by the response we’ve received to Oakvillage,” says Watkins. "The unprecedented demand simply shows that Oakvillage’s incredible investment potential hasn’t gone unnoticed by today’s buyer. It’s set to be one of the most desirable residential communities in one the GTA’s most sought-after locations.”

The expansion of Oakville
Oakville is an interesting town. Housing development north of Dundas is sparse, but there are many homebuilders in the process of building it up. This is a great investment opportunity because the amount of neighbourhood amenities has kept up with the development. Oakvillage is located at Trafalgar and Dundas, close to a number of grocery stores, banks, restaurants, doctors’ offices, schools, and shopping options.
For groceries and shopping, there are a few big box stores within a stone’s throw of the community, such as the Real Canadian Superstore, a Canadian Tire, and the Walmart Oakville Supercentre. Oakville Place Mall is also a few minutes down Trafalgar.

Many of the restaurants, including The Keg, Kelsey’s, Fionn MacCool’s, Pizza Hut, and Spoon & Fork, are within walking distance. Whether you’re craving pub far, Italian, Japanese, or maybe just a coffee and croissant, Oakvillage is close to it all.
If you’re interested in the remaining homes in Phase 1 of Oakvillage, we recommend that you register right now so that you don’t miss another opening!
