A Tour: Portrait Condos

Yesterday, the team at the Toronto Star's NewInHomes.com ventured out to the Sheppard and Yonge area to learn more about Portrait Condominiums, the latest development from our friends over at Norstar Homes. We met with developer Aaron Brown, and he took us on a tour of the property, giving us a peek at the vision behind the development.
“Portrait Condominiums is a two tower boutique condominium on Sheppard Ave., West. Our West Tower is pretty much complete, while the east tower is quickly finishing construction. We plan to start occupying the east tower in two weeks. At Portrait, we offer a wide selection of suites in roughly 70 different floorplans, within a 200 suite building. We are a boutique condominium, so each unit has its own independent feel to it,” explained Brown.
Two things stood out about Portrait Condos right away. First, the richly designed exterior landscaping is something that we don’t often see in developments of this magnitude. It’s very open and spacious.
“The connection with outdoor living was important to us. We wanted the exterior of the building to be an extension of each suite. We tried to distinguish ourselves from the other product along Sheppard Avenue. Our design is different, our approach was different, and I see it in the results.”
The second aspect to Portrait Condos that stood out immediately was the location.
