There are a number of factors contributing to the success of the new home market

Housing starts have stayed steady in Canada and somewhat steady in Ontario, though Toronto saw a decline. CMHC says that the lack of listings in the Toronto CMA resale market has caused a spill over of buyers to the new home market, which kept detached home starts stable in November.
Trimart Research Corporation’s latest report state that Ontario’s resilient labour markets, low interest rates, and the expected easing in the weakness of the oil and gas sector support economic growth, which inevitably affect the residential market.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at a few notable low-rise sites of the last month:
TIME Village by Treasure Hill Homes
Placing first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list with 55 sales last month is TIME Village, a new home community in Aurora by Treasure Hill Homes. TIME Village features urban townhomes ranging from 975 to 1,500 square feet with prices starting at $599,900. TIME got a lot of attention from buyers when the first rendering was unveiled due to its modern look. With many fall sales, the urban townhomes are now under construction.
Kingmeadow by Minto
Coming in second is Kingmeadow in Oshawa by Minto. There was a new release of townhomes recently and Minto saw 47 sales! With the new release, there are urban townhomes available ranging from 647 to 1,404 square feet. The other townhomes, and the 36’ and 43’ detached homes are sold out.
Kleinburg Summit by Mattamy Homes
The third spot is taken by Kleinburg Summit by Mattamy Homes. There were 38 sales at the community last month. Kleinburg Summit features 30’, 40’, and 50’ detached homes ranging from 1,765 to 4,782 square feet with prices starting at $914,990 and reaching approximately $1.5 million. Kleinburg is known for its village-like atmosphere, and $1 million homes have become the norm.
Mount Pleasant by Rosehaven Homes
Taking the fourth position is The Neighbourhoods of Mount Pleasant in Brampton by Rosehaven Homes. With 30 sales last month, there are a few two-storey townhomes available, all of which are over 1,300 square feet. Prices start from $588,990.
Summerlyn Village by Great Gulf
The final spot on the Trimart Hot Spots list is taken by Summerlyn Village, a new home community in Bradford by Great Gulf Homes that had 19 sales last month. With a successful month, the 36’ detached homes are now temporarily sold out. There are 40’ detached homes ranging from 2,225 to 3,270 square feet with prices starting at $850,000.
