The Winners of the 2015 Avid Awards

The winners of the 12th annual Avid Awards have been announced, and there are many prominent builders and developers from Ontario included!

The 2015 Avid Awards recipients are selected based on Avid Ratings Canada’s GoSurvey program, which is sent out to homebuyers across North America who purchased a new home in 2014. The survey measures everything from the overall homebuying experience, to the homebuyer’s willingness to refer, and even the actual number of referrals they have made. Since 1992, Avid Ratings Canada has been striving to make the building performance of new communities in North America more transparent to homebuyers.

"These awards ensure future buyers that there is a builder in their region who will deliver an excellent new home and buying experience."

This year, there was a total of 930 qualifying builders! The two biggest winners are both coincidentally located in Saskatchewan. North Ridge Developments, Regina Multi-Family Division received the Avid Diamond Award, and Reimer Custom Homes received the Custom Builder Diamond Award.

St. John's Forest - via Mattamy Homes

Mattamy Homes (Ottawa Division) won the Avid Gold Award, which goes to the builders that receive the highest scores for the New Home Move-In Experience section of the survey. The Benchmark Award went to Reid’s Heritage Homes (South Central Division) and Glenview Homes, which recognizes the second and third place builders in the New Home Move-In Experience category.

“A positive customer experience is at the forefront of our priorities, therefore the Avid Benchmark Award is certainly one that we are very proud of,” says Blake Seeberger, Senior Vice President, Residential at Reid's Heritage Homes. “It signifies and cements that we are remaining true to our core values and our commitment to top quality homes, superior service and satisfied customers.”

Mattamy Homes also received a number of awards for the Best Sales Counsellors, Best Project Superintendents, and Best Design Counsellors. Burlington-based Branthaven Homes received an award for Best Customer Service Associates, as did Minto Communities (Ottawa).
