The top 5 builders with the most new low-rise sales
By Lucas on Jun 28, 2016
We’re only a few days into summer and it’s already proving to be a hot one, from both a temperature perspective and for new low-rise sales in the Total Market Area (TMA). According to Trimart Research Corporation, there are many new releases and openings planned for the upcoming summer months, and with inventories so low, sales should continue to hit record highs.
Trimart has also shared the top five builders with the most new low-rise sales in the TMA so far this year (as of April 2016). To no surprise, Mattamy Homes is in first with 2,022 sales. Great Gulf is in second with 356 sales, Countrywide is in third with 255, Primont has 236, and Greenpark has 228.
Listed below are a few notable low-rise sites for the last month:
Hawthorne South Village by Mattamy Homes
Placing first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list with a tremendous 153 sales last month is Hawthorne South Village in Milton by Mattamy Homes. After what was clearly a very successful sales period, the village homes, rear lane townhomes, and detached homes are all sold out. There is a collection of two-storey townhomes coming soon, so stay tuned!
Country Lane by Heathwood Homes
Coming in second place is Country Lane, a new master-planned community in Whitby by Heathwood Homes. With 73 sales last month, Phase 2 is now sold out. There will soon be a new release of 26’ detached homes, ranging from 2,016 to 3,356 square feet. Heathwood Homes has big plans for Whitby, so now is the time to get in on what will surely be a very successful low-rise community.
Trafalgar Landing by Great Gulf
The third spot is taken by Trafalgar Landing, a community in Oakville by Great Gulf that had 31 sales last month. There is a new release of 20’ townhomes, ranging from 1,815 to 2,175 square feet. Great Gulf is in second place for the most new low-rise sales in the TMA, and there’s a good reason for it! Their homes are in great locations and are built well. Oakville was recently listed as the third best place to live in all of Canada!
Seven Oaks by Fernbrook
Speaking of Oakville, the fourth spot is taken by Seven Oaks, Fernbrook Homes’ luxury community in the town. Seven Oaks features townhomes and 38’ and 43’ detached homes ranging from 2,129 to 3,791 square feet. Prices range from $769,990 to more than $1.2 million.
Westminster Highlands by Reid's Heritage Homes
The final position on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list is taken by Westminster Highlands by Reid’s Heritage Homes, a Fergus community that saw seven sales last month. The community features two-storey townhomes, bungalow townhomes, as well as 38’, 42’, and 50’ detached homes. The homes range from 1,223 to 3,056 square feet and prices start as low as $291,900.
