The Matchedash Lofts sales centre is opening on October 7th!

One of Southern Ontario’s most exciting boutique condos is about to launch in Orillia. Matchedash Lofts by Oakleigh will open its sales centre doors for the first time on Friday, October 7 at noon.
When we first heard about Matchedash Lofts, we met up with Managing Partner Geoffrey Campbell to learn more about the unique project. “The GTA and surrounding area have developed very quickly over the last 10 years and as a result, many small towns have lost their identity and charm,” Campbell told us. “During all of that time, Orillia managed to preserve its heritage features, character, assets, all those things are still intact in that downtown core.”
Oakleigh’s building design for Matchedash Lofts is inspired by Orillia’s historical streetscape. The renderings make it look as if Oakleigh is redeveloping a site with a couple beautiful brick warehouses, but they are in fact building this stunning residence from scratch.
As the opening date nears, more and more people are expressing interest in the Orillia condo, from local first-time buyers to downsizers. Matchedash Lofts is an amazing option for downsizers because the floor plans are spacious and efficient. The Live/Work units are especially attractive because many downsizers see themselves working into retirement, starting their dream business, like opening an art gallery.

Locals looking for their first home have expressed interest in purchasing at Matchedash Lofts because they realize how much time, money, and work needs to be put into a resale low-rise home in that area. Many young, working singles and couples are looking to enter the market but are wary of taking on the responsibility of purchasing a fixer-upper. Matchedash Lofts gives them the space, convenience, and lack of maintenance they want.
Speaking of convenience, Matchedash Lofts is located in the heart of downtown Orillia. “We’re in the middle of downtown with a Walk Score of 97,” Campbell said. “If you need a gym, the YMCA is within walking distance. If you want to go to the park, the Couchiching Beach Park is right there. Everything you need is there. We want to ensure that people are leaving our building and using the city itself because that is one of the things that makes a sustainable development – encouraging residents to get out and be active members of the community.”
Since every amenity is so close, Oakleigh has made the decision to offer a limited amount of amenities in order to keep condo fees low. There will be a few amenities, including a rooftop terrace that overlooks the lake and downtown.
Register for the opening of Matchedash Lofts!
In anticipation of the Matchedash Lofts opening, Oakleigh has unveiled many of the floor plans. The plans on the website range from 632 to 1,750 square feet and are divided into three types of units; Live/Work, Lofts, and Terrace. The Terrace units are further divided into Garden, Lakeview, and Sunset suites.
