The Grand Finale of Aurora Trails was a Huge Success!

Last weekend, the Newinhomes.com team attended the grand finale of Aurora Trails by Arista Homes, Fieldgate Homes, Opus Homes, and Paradise Developments, and we’re going to go ahead and say that it was easily one of the largest openings of the season (maybe even the year).

Earlier in June, we received word from Fieldgate that people started lining up almost a whole week before the scheduled weekend opening. Of course, it wasn’t acceptable to make these people wait outside for a whole week, so everyone that showed up at Aurora Trails before the opening was told to come back on Thursday at the earliest. When Thursday morning rolled around, cars started pulling into the lot and people began setting up their lounge chairs to keep their spot line. At the end of Thursday, there were easily over 200 people in line, and coincidentally, the builders were releasing just over 200 lots. Friday came and went with more people showing up to get a spot in line, and the Saturday morning sun arrived to shine on many tired/excited faces waiting for the doors to open.

For the amount of people crowding the doors, the builders did a pretty good job at managing the lines, letting in a few at a time. Most of the commotion stayed out in the parking lot and though the crowds were large, homebuyers had the pleasure of slowly browsing the selection of homes, taking their time to pick a lot and elevation. That’s one of the issues with such a strong demand for one community; people feel rushed when buying, they worry that someone is going to buy the lot that they want, so they end up making decisions too quickly. At Aurora Trails, there wasn’t really a sense of urgency because of the controlled pace, and we tip our hats to the builders for that.

So, why did Aurora Trails have such a large turnout for the final release? There are a few reasons:

The team of top rated builders

Arista, Fieldgate, Opus, and Paradise are all recognized names in the homebuilding industry, and combined, they have communities peppering the GTA and beyond. Whether it’s referrals or repeat buyers, loyalty plays a big part in the homebuying game, and simple name recognition goes a long way when someone is thinking of entering the new home market.

The amount of dedicated green space

40% of the Aurora Trails site is designated as “natural heritage areas,” where there will be a variety of green spaces, such as public parkland, environmental protection areas, woodlands, creeks, and stormwater management ponds. There will also be a butternut plantation with butternut trees and companion oaks. This plantation will support the endangered butternut species.

The prestige of the community

Aurora is known for its rolling hills, rich heritage, and high-end housing. Aurora Trails is a master-planned community that’s giving hundreds of families the opportunity to become a part of this prestigious area. The builders are also preserving a piece of the area’s heritage by restoring the century old Coltham Farm House and relocating it to the entrance of the community.

According to AuroraTrails.com, there are still a few lots remaining, so head on out to the sales centres at the corner of Mavrinac and Wellington Street East and see what the builders still have to offer!
