The EnerQuality EQ Awards finalists are the best of the best in green homebuilding

One of the most prestigious awards for green building, sustainability, and energy efficiency in the new home industry is EnerQuality’s annual EQ Awards. And we are excited to share some of the finalists with you! 

A few of the categories include Building Innovation - Low-Rise and Mid/High-Rise, Net Zero Builder, Ontario Green Builder, and of course, the EnerQuality’s ENERGY STAR for New Homes Builder of the Year for Small, Mid, and Large Volume.

This year, there’s also a People’s Choice Award, and voting is now open! The finalists of People’s Choice are also the finalists of the Ontario Green Builder Award, which is the top award of the event. 

And the finalists for the People’s Choice and Ontario Green Builder Award are:

• Sifton Properties

It’ll come to no surprise that the finalists for Ontario Green Builder are also finalists in a few other categories. In addition to the two awards mentioned above, Minto is a finalist in three other categories, including Building Innovation - Low-Rise, Building Innovation Mid/High-Rise, and ENERGY STAR for New Homes Builder of the Year - Large Volume. 

Reid’s Heritage Homes is another finalist in numerous categories, including Building Innovation - Low-Rise, and Net Zero Builder. Our first experience touring a Net Zero home was actually one of Reid’s Heritage Homes’, and that was a few years ago, so we’re happy to see that they are continuing to lead the way with regards to sustainable homebuilding.
