The busy homebuying season is just around the corner

The latest report from Trimart Research Corporation states that new low-rise sales have been strong across the Total Market Area (TMA) throughout the summer, though sales centre traffic has been slow. Due to the beautiful weather, long weekends, and cottage trips, it’s not unusual for sales to dip a bit in June.
That said, we are about to enter August (starts with a long weekend), which means builders and developers will be announcing more specific dates for all of their fall releases that usually open in September and October. If you have any upcoming communities on your radar, keep a close eye on them starting next week.
Listed below are a few notable low-rise sites of the last month:
U.C. Towns by Tribute Communities
Coming in first place on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots report with 116 sales last month in U.C. in Oshawa by Tribute Communities. This long running, very successful community is one of the most popular in Oshawa. The townhomes at U.C. range from 1,782 to 1,986 square feet and prices are starting at $465,990.
Esprit by Sundial Homes
Placing second with 42 sales last month is Esprit, a new home community in Newmarket by Sundial Homes. The community features urban townhomes, 35’ and 40’ detached homes, as well as urban townhomes. The homes range from 1,030 to 3,441 square feet and prices start from $579,990.
The rest of the positions are occupied by collections of Cleave View Estates by different builders. This Brampton community was highly anticipated so it’s not surprising that the builders saw a great turnout.
Cleave View by CountryWide Homes
CountryWide Homes had 33 sales at Cleave View during the opening month. The community features 38’, 47’, 52’, and 60’ detached homes, ranging from 2,259 to 5,287 square feet. Prices are starting at $914,990 and range up to more than $1.5 million.
Cleave View by Regal Crest Homes
Regal Crest Homes saw 31 sales during opening month and their offering at Cleave View is similar to CountryWide’s as far as lot sizes go. The detached homes by Regal Crest range from 2,608 to 5,464 square feet with prices ranging from $987,990 to over $1.6 million.
Cleave View by Aspen Ridge Homes
The final spot on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list is taken by Aspen Ridge Homes’ Cleave View collection. Aspen Ridge’s detached homes are on the same size lots as CountryWide’s and Regal Crest’s, and their homes range from 2,314 to 4,520 square feet. They saw nine sales during opening month and prices range from $929,990 to more than $1.5 million.
