Taste Your Neighbourhood Before Buying a Condo
By Penny on Jul 24, 2014
With so many new restaurants popping up all over the city, even the most ambitious foodies of the GTA will admit that it’s tough to keep up! Revealing the tastes of Toronto one restaurant at a time, the Yellow Pages Group and the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA) have teamed up to present Taste Your Neighbourhood.
Since we usually start by telling you about a community and mention some of the great surrounding amenities, here’s your chance to try them out first hand! A one-day only event, July 26th, be sure to sign up ASAP by clicking here.
How it works
Having started in Montreal, Taste Your Neighbourhood is an opportunity to take a guided tour of popular, new and trendy restaurants, cafes and breweries with local experts. Fiona Story, the official spokesperson for the Yellow Pages Group says that it was so successful in Montreal that they instantly thought of bringing it to Toronto: “It’s kind of about not only helping those businesses reach a different clientele, but providing people the opportunity to go out and try something new.”
The groups are limited to approximately thirty people. The idea is to create a well-rounded experience, in order to effectively give guests the opportunity to learn about the history and roots of the places, interact with business managers or owners and enjoy samples, tastings or mini-meal buffets. One tour, “The Leslieville Tantalizer” has already booked up completely, so make sure you don’t miss out and check out the list of hotspots and reserve your spot.
