Successful Openings for 3 Townhome Communities

According to Trimart Research Corporation’s latest report, this spring season has been one of the strongest we have seen in the GTA in recent years. The spring is typically one of the higher selling seasons of the year, but this year the numbers are soaring. Nearly 40% of Trimart’s annual forecast has been achieved. The other 60% will surely add up over the next month and in fall. Trimart focuses primarily on new low-rise homes, but that’s not the only market that’s been successful over the last few months. The resale market saw record high sales in May 2015, and is on track for another record high month!

Listed below are a few notable low-rise sites of the last few weeks:

Placing first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list is Bayview Garden, a townhome community in Richmond Hill by North Star Homes. The homes at Bayview Garden range from 1,800 to 2,200 square feet and there were 70 sales during the opening month. These high-end townhomes start at $710,000. Richmond Hill is seeing a mini-surge in townhome communities, much like many other suburbs of Toronto.

Claridge Gate - via Andrin Homes

The second position was taken by another townhome community that had a great opening month. Claridge Gate by Andrin Homes saw 59 sales. Located in Upper Thornhill, the community features homes ranging from 1,815 to 2,811 square feet with prices starting at $669,990. Andrin is currently offering an incentive of five appliances, central air conditioning, and $3,500 of decor upgrades.

Chelsea - via Aspen Ridge Homes

Trailing closely with 58 sales is Chelsea, Aspen Ridge Homes’ new Maple community. Those 58 sales were achieved over a single opening weekend, so that’s pretty amazing! Chelsea offers a wide selection of 18’ townhomes ranging from 1,888 to 2,391 square feet, with prices starting at $705,990. Aspen Ridge is offering a bonus of three free appliances to homebuyers for a limited time.

Hawthorne Village - via Mattamy Homes

Coming in fourth we have Hawthorne South Village by Mattamy Homes. There were 52 sales at this Milton community last month, and the village townhomes and 30’ and 36’ detached homes are all sold out. To give you an idea of the size of the homes, the sold out units range from 1,044 to 2,824 square feet. Mattamy has announced that there will be a new release of all three home types coming soon!

Kingmeadow - via Minto

Taking the final position on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list is Kingmeadow by Minto. Last month, there were 26 sales at the Oshawa community. The 36’ and 43’ detached homes are sold out, but there is a new release coming soon. There are still a few townhomes available, ranging from 1,775 to 1,862 square feet, with prices starting at $372,990.
