Slow and Steady in the New Low-Rise Scene

According to Trimart Research Corporation, healthy economic growth is forecasted for 2015, so sales should be steady at least through the first quarter of the year. The holiday season was slow, but as builders of new low-rise communities hit the drawing board and restrategize to target first-time homebuyers and end users, sales should amp up soon. There are already many new releases and openings planned for the end of January and February. This week, Trimart’s Hot Spots report highlights a few cities that will probably perform very well throughout 2015!
Springvalley - via Royal Pine Homes
Does it come to any surprise that a Brampton community is topping this week’s Trimart report? Springvalley by Royal Pine Homes saw 16 sales last month. The community features semi-detached homes, as well as 38’, 40’, and 50’ detached homes, ranging from 1,615 to 4,560 square feet. Prices for available homes start as low as $413,900. Last year, Brampton was the top-selling city for new low-rise homes, and so far, the city shows no sign of slowing down.
Impressions - via Fieldgate Homes
Taking the second position is Impressions, a Kleinburg community by Fieldgate Homes that had 15 sales last month. The expansive community features a wide variety of homes, including rear lane townhomes, 28’ semis, and 28’, 30’, 38’, and 44’ detached homes. The homes range from 1,688 to 3,479 square feet, with prices starting at just $537,990. Kleinburg is a village of Vaughan that has a lot of development in the works. The countryside-style landscape is a huge draw for the village.
Wildflowers - via Mattamy Homes
Tying for the second spot is Wildflowers, a Mattamy Homes community in Kitchener. Wildflowers features village homes, townhomes, and 30’, 36’, and 43’ detached homes, ranging from 1,044 to 3,164 square feet. With prices starting as low as $233,990, this community is a great option for first-time homebuyers.
U.C. - via Tribute
Coming in third with 11 sales last month is U.C. by Tribute Communities. This Oshawa community features a wide spectrum of semis and 30’, 36’, and 40’ detached homes, ranging from 1,444 to 5,578 square feet. Prices at U.C. start at $334,990. Oshawa’s low-rise scene is booming right now. To get in on one of these new communities right now would be a smart investment.
Uptownes - via Geranium Homes
Uptownes at Cardinal Point by Geranium Homes saw 10 sales last month, putting it into the fourth place on this week’s report. These stacked back-to-back townhomes are located in Stouffville, an area for which a lot of new low-rise is planned. Geranium’s unique offering to Stouffville ranges from 1,401 to 1,639 square feet and offers unimpeded views of Whitchurch-Stouffville’s natural landscape. Prices at Uptownes start at $404,900.
Waterlilies - via Fernbrook Homes
Slipping into the final position on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots is Waterlilies by Fernbrook Homes, an Oakville community that had eight sales last month. Oakville came very close to being a top selling area last year, and with many new releases and openings planned for this year, we think it will be near the top again. Waterlilies features urban townhomes ranging from 946 to 1,096 square feet, with prices starting at just $321,900.
