Riverbank Lofts in Cambridge is over 80% sold!

On October 1st, Newinhomes.com attended one of the best industry events we’ve ever been to - the VIP launch of Riverbank Lofts in Cambridge.
350 buyers, guests, and local dignitaries, including the Mayor Doug Craig, councillors, the MP, MPP, and other senior city staff, were in attendance to help HIP Developments open the highly anticipated condo residence. Steven Page, the former lead singer of the Barenaked Ladies, entertained the crowd as everyone mingled and awaited their chance to reserve their new unit at Riverbank Lofts.
“We are ecstatic about how the night went,” says HIP Developments President Scott Higgins in a recent release. “Seeing people walk out of the signing room, smiling ear to ear, having just purchased a piece of history, and their future home, was something lasting that I will take away. The Steven Page band was incredible, the food from Chef D and local vendors was fabulous and The Event Firm did a fantastic job setting up and arranging the entire event. It was such a fun way to launch the sales for Riverbank Lofts.”

In small groups, registrants were invited into the VIP Signing Room where lead sales representative Cory de Villiers and his Century 21 team introduced everyone to the floor plans and available units. Needless to say, the units were well received; in the first hour, half of the 42 units were reserved.
By the end of the evening, more than 80% of the units were sold! So we think it’s official - Hespeler Village is now the most highly sought after neighbourhood in Cambridge. Before HIP Developments even announced their plans for this site, locals expected big things.
The existing stone and timber building is a former woolen mill and American Standard factory, dating back to the 1800s. The site at 19 Guelph Avenue is right on Speed River near Mill Pond, and there is even a waterfall within view. According to the release, some people at the event were joking that the building could also be a great live venue because of how good Steven Page’s band sounded.
“It was a successful night, and it was a unique opportunity to meet our future neighbours,” says Villiers. “34 enthusiastic buyers excited about the project and the prospect of calling the Riverbank Lofts and Hespeler Village home.”
More happy purchasers!
Cambridge has a rich history stemming back to the 1700s, and we’re excited to see how Riverbank Lofts complements the city’s storied past. In addition to the heritage architecture and small-town atmosphere, Hespeler Village offers a wide range of neighbourhood amenities.
There are many parks, walking trails, conservation areas, and local shops and markets that are easily accessible. In anticipation of the site being developed, many new businesses are already eyeing Hespeler as the next hot spot to set up shop! Plus, Cambridge is conveniently located between Guelph and Kitchener, so if you work in either city, your commute will be a breeze.
