Reid’s Heritage Homes has been named 2013 Ontario Home Builder of the Year. The award was announced on Tuesday, September 24, at the gala awards ceremony of the 50th Ontario Home Builders’ Association Annual Conference, at the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls.
Reid’s Heritage Homes was one of three homebuilders chosen as finalists for this prestigious honour. The award is presented to “the new home building company that demonstrates outstanding professionalism and integrity within their business, industry and community.”
The Ontario Home Builders’ Association is the voice of the residential building industry in Ontario, with 30 local associations and 4,000 members across the province. OHBA President Leith Moore stated, “The Awards of Distinction program is an opportunity to pay tribute and honour the creativity, innovation and talent of builders, renovators, designers and marketers within the new home building and renovation industry.”
Blake Seeberger, Senior Vice-President of Residential Construction at Reid’s Heritage Homes, said, “This award means a lot to every member of our Reid’s Heritage team, especially because it comes from our peers in the homebuilding industry. We are proud of the homes and communities we create for each and every client we serve, and we’re delighted our commitment to quality and service has been recognized in this award.”
This is the latest in an impressive collection of awards garnered by Reid’s Heritage Homes over the past year, alone. In June, the Reid’s Heritage Group of Companies received the Mayor’s Award for “Excellence in Workforce Training & Development”, presented by the City of Cambridge to the company that exhibits a continuous learning environment and proven excellence in workforce training and development. Reid’s Heritage Homes also received the 2013 City of Guelph Water Conservation and Efficiency Award, acknowledging the company’s continued leadership in the city’s Blue Built Home program. The company was also honoured with two 2013 Silver National Sales and Marketing Awards.
The Reid’s Heritage Team will also be engaged over the next five years, as one of five home builders selected to participate in a National Net Zero Home building science project with National Resources Canada and Owens Corning.
Seeberger added, “Winning awards like these is not our first objective, but they emphasize that we are meeting our primary goal of building great homes in great communities for satisfied customers.” He pointed out that the Reid’s Heritage commitment to excellence is best defined by the company’s LiveWISE program, which underscores Reid’s Heritage Homes’ commitment to top quality, satisfied customers, environmental responsibility, superior service, exceptional design and the creation of vibrant neighbourhoods.
For over three decades, Reid’s Heritage Homes has designed and built homes ranging from single detached homes through mid-rise condos; two-storey, executive and bungalow townhomes; custom estates; and active adult communities.
Reid’s Heritage Homes’ communities are located across south-western Ontario, from Guelph, Cambridge and Waterloo Region to Kincardine, Port Elgin, Thornbury and the Georgian Bay area.
