Is this Queensville or Paris?
The builders have compared Queensville Village to Paris, referring to it as “stylish and visionary,” and also being well connected and very walkable. That’s not the only similarity that this community shares with Paris. With the Town Centre at the heart of the community, the streets spiral outward towards the major roads (Queensville Sideroad to the north, 404 extension to the east, Doane Road to the south, and Second Concession Road on the west), mimicking Paris’ circular fashion. This European style layout creates a web of mixed-uses that weave together across the community, making for a convenient and vibrant neighbourhood.
There are 129 acres of parks, playgrounds, and schools interwoven with cycling and walking paths, and lush forested trails, ponds, and streams. Queensville Public School is the closest to the new Queensville community, but Good Shepherd Catholic School is only a few minutes to the south in East Gwillimbury, and two high schools - Huron Heights and Sacred Heart - are directly to the south in Newmarket.
As walkable and convenient that Queensville is, one of the best aspects of its location is its proximity to other towns and cities. Aurora, Newmarket, and Markham are easily accessible, so residents of Queensville can enjoy these neighbouring amenities while living in an intimate village of their own with a small-town atmosphere. And with the extension of Highway 404, downtown Toronto is always an option for commuters or for weekend fun!
Of course, living in Queensville doesn’t mean you need to travel to a bunch of other cities every time you need groceries. There are a number of places of worship, restaurants, shopping opportunities, and grocery stores in Queensville, East Gwillimbury, and Newmarket (we realize Newmarket is another town, but it’s literally minutes south of Queensville). One of the closest grocery stores is Vince’s Market, which is a local favourite!
