Register for Lighthouse East Tower on Toronto’s waterfront!
By Lucas on Sep 21, 2016
One of Toronto’s most exciting waterfront condo projects is Daniels Waterfront - City of the Arts, and Daniels is now accepting registrations for Lighthouse East Tower, the second residential phase.
Phase 1, Lighthouse Tower, launched with great success and construction is already underway at Lower Jarvis and Lake Shore Boulevard East. As the tower name suggests, Lighthouse East Tower will rise on the east side of Phase 1 at Lake Shore and Richardson Street. Lighthouse East Tower will rise 36 storeys, standing a few stories shorter than the 45-storey Lighthouse Tower.
Lighthouse East Tower will boast an exterior of masonry and glass with staggered balconies that mirror the calming waves of Lake Ontario. The floor plans will range from studios to two-bedroom+dens and be designed with form and function in mind. With sweeping lake and city views, soaring windows, and bright airy living spaces, Lighthouse East Tower really takes advantage of the prime waterfront location.
Daniels Waterfront - City of the Arts by the numbers
There are many reasons why Lighthouse Tower opened with such tremendous success. Daniels Waterfront - City of the Arts is more than a couple residential towers by the lake. There’s so much more being offered. Here’s a quick look at the factors in play:
- 1,320,000 square feet of office, retail, academic, and cultural space
- 650,000 square feet of residential in two towers
- 240,000 square feet of post-secondary academic space, with a focus on design and art.
- 280,000 square feet of commercial space in two towers (10 QQE). These office condos give businesses the opportunity to operate in a space that they actually own, as opposed to renting.
- 150,000 square feet of arts and cultural space to be used by Artscape, Manifesto, OCAD University, and The Remix Project.
- 27,000 square feet of retail, including coffee shops, restaurants, and national brand stores. The Yard is a European inspired strip that Daniels describes as an “animated outdoor living room.”
- 2 Sugar Beaches. That’s right. Designed by Claude Cormier + Associates, Sugar Beach North will be a public outdoor space that serves as an extension of the original, which is on the south side of Queens Quay.
All of this is within the same development bordered by Queens Quay on the south, Richardson to the east, Lake Shore to the north, and Lower Jarvis on the west side. Beyond this block, you’re surrounded by some of the best areas in Toronto, including the Distillery District, St. Lawrence Market, and Canary District.
