PACE on Main in Stouffville is now officially under construction!

Last week, we went up to Stouffville to celebrate the official groundbreaking of PACE on Main, the area’s first mid-rise boutique condo to rise on Main Street. The Mayor, Justin Altmann, councillors, town staff, the Geranium Homes team, and homeowners were all in attendance to celebrate the development’s milestone.
“PACE on Main is symbolic of what can be achieved through rigorous dialogue and collaboration between citizens, Town representatives and business,” said Mayor Justin Altmann. “We are thrilled to see this new condominium building get underway and look forward to welcoming PACE residents to our great downtown in 2017.”
Geranium’s Shauna Dudding (centre) cuts the celebratory cake with company president, Boaz Feiner (to her right), Whitchurch-Stouffville Councillors (from left) Ken Ferdinands and Hugo Kroon, and Dan Coldwell of PACE Credit Union.
Located right on Main Street, steps from the Stouffville GO Station, PACE on Main is within walking distance to all the amenities you need on a daily basis, including restaurants, banks, and shops. There are many schools in the area, as well grocery stores and parks. Also, PACE Credit Union, which previously occupied a portion of the site, will operate in the ground floor of the new building. PACE on Main has seen its fair share of downsizers, young couples, and families deciding to call the new condo home.
“There were five buildings on site that needed to be demolished, and we have one more to go before we really start moving at PACE,” explained Boaz Feiner, president of Geranium Homes. “It’s going to be really exciting once PACE starts coming together and I think sales are going to speed up even more when people see how amazing it’s going to be.”
Judging by the condition of the last building on the site, it won’t take long to tear down (in fact it may be demolished already). PACE on Main will stand five storeys and feature 67 stunning suites. A few of the impressive interior features and finishes include large windows, 9’ ceilings, engineered hardwood flooring, granite countertops, and full-size appliances.
PACE on Main will also have its own collection of amenities, including an outdoor terrace, barbecue stations, and The Main Street Lounge, which has a kitchen, a bar, fireplaces, and a billiards area. With this streamlined amenities package, Geranium has managed to keep maintenance fees pretty low at just $0.37 per square foot (compare that to closer to $0.50 or $0.55 downtown Toronto).
The available suites at PACE on Main
Construction is now underway and PACE on Main is nearly 70% sold. There is still a great selection of suites ranging from 672 to 1,368 square feet with one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts available. Prices are starting from $349,900 and include an underground parking spot.
It’s interesting that Geranium is developing Stouffville’s first boutique condo because Geranium seems to be bringing a lot of firsts to the area. When Geranium launched the Uptownes at Cardinal Point, it was the first collection of stacked back-to-back townhomes we had ever seen. Now, they’re getting ready to launch Vista Flats & Towns at Cardinal Point, which is another innovative townhome housing style.
Stouffville is one of the most highly sought-after areas of the GTA and Geranium is one of the builders that is playing an integral role in the shaping of its future. We cannot wait to watch PACE on Main rise over the next year and see what else Geranium has planned for Stouffville and beyond.
