It was less than a year ago when we first heard word of Granite Homes’ luxury community Usshers Creek in the Village of Ariss (just northwest of Guelph). We were intrigued by the limited amount of lots and the large lot sizes. Well, homebuyers will get the first look at Usshers Creek on Saturday June 13, 2015 at the grand opening of the community!
The grand opening of Usshers Creek will be located at the Ariss Valley Golf Club, 5700 Wellington Road 86, and doors will be open from 12 pm to 4 pm. We imagine people will be arriving much earlier than 12 pm because there are only 15 lots available!
Though there are only 15 homes, all the elevations are distinct, so each home in the community will be unique, making for a vibrant streetscape. Since Granite Homes has placed such an importance on the architectural differences between each home, you definitely need to arrive at the grand opening early so that you have the widest selection of not just lots, but also elevations!
Usshers Creek will feature bungalows and two-storey homes on one-acre lots. Yes, a one-acre lot. The trail traverses 45 km of rural communities, providing views of beautiful farmland and wetlands. Since the trail is developed on former rail lands, the majority of it is pretty flat, allowing for a number of uses, such as hiking, jogging, cycling, and in the winter you can cross-country ski, snowshoe, and even snowmobile in certain areas. In addition to the Kissing Bridge Trailway, Usshers Creek is located directly across from the Ariss Valley Golf Club, which offers an incredible country club and a picturesque course of 27 holes where you can test your skills any day of the week.
When it comes to communities that are set amid an abundance of natural surroundings, it’s often a concern that there won’t be any nearby amenities; at Usshers Creek, this isn’t the case.
