Olivia Wilde Moving From Los Angeles to New York
By Lucas on Nov 14, 2012
If you’re roughly 20 years old, you remember Olivia Wilde from the hit show, “The O.C.” If you’re between 23 and 35 and love nerdy sci-fi movies (that’s us), you remember her from “TRON: Legacy.” And, if you’re 40+, she’s the attractive doctor on “House.”
Sorry Baby Boomers and sci-fi junkies, Olivia Wilde has picked up and moved across the country to New York for the love of her life, funnyman boyfriend, Jason Sudeikis. Olivia Wilde’s Los Angeles home has been listed for $2,495,000; about $200,000 more than what she paid for it back in March 2011.
The Los Angeles home was previously listed as a rental for $9,500 a month, and the decision to list for sale, leaving LA behind, shows that she is confident in her future with Sudeikis and the New York loft space they are moving into.
The 1929 Spanish style estate in LA features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and 3,284 square feet of living space. Of course, Wilde had all the celebrity amenities you expect to find, such as an abundance of outdoor space, a screening room, a library, and a bunch of fancy finishes.
Wilde purchased her two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom, 1,950 square foot Manhattan loft for $3,225,000...about a million dollars more than what she’s asking for her LA home, which is almost double the size. Wilde is actually a New York native, so the outrageous price for almost half the space probably wasn’t a shock. Also, she’s in about nine or ten movies coming out in the next year, so she’s probably doing okay, you know, financially.
Well, we are sure New York is happy to have their Olivia Wilde back, Jason Sudeikis gets to be closer to his love, and a new home hit the Los Angeles real estate market. A happy ending with new beginnings.
