The OHBA announces the finalists of the 2016 Awards of Distinction

The Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA) has announced the finalists of the 2016 Awards of Distinction, recognizing excellence in the industry across the province.
There are 39 categories emphasizing building, design, and sales & marketing. The winners will be announced on September 20th at the annual 2016 OHBA Conference, which is taking place at Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood.
"The Awards of Distinction program recognizes excellence in building, renovations and sales and marketing in Ontario. The Awards program is an opportunity for the industry to come together and pay tribute to the creativity, design and technological advances that are happening at every level of building - from single-family homes to, mid-rise and high-rise projects," says OHBA President John Meinen in a release. "The building industry continues to be a major driving force in our province's economy and OHBA proudly celebrates the achievements of our members."
This is actually a really big year for the awards and conference because it marks the 25th year of supporting and promoting Ontario home builders and renovators.

The most prestigious award of the night will be the 2016 Ontario Home Builder of the Year; and the finalists are:
The OHBA is also asking that you vote for the People’s Choice Award. Voting runs from August 16th to the 26th; and the finalists are:
- Branthaven Homes for: Lake House in Grimsby
- Fusion Homes for: Solterra Community in Guelph
- Great Gulf for: Summerlyn Village in Simcoe County
- HAVEN Developments for: SIX25BV in Toronto
- Minto Communities for: Bside at Minto Westside in Toronto
- Tridel for: Scala in North York
