October: DIY Month
By Lucas on Oct 01, 2013
Welcome to Do-it-Yourself (DIY) Month! The colder weather is creeping up and some of the year’s best holidays and occasions are on the way, so we will be sharing all sorts of DIY tips for the home to survive this hectic time.
Our recent monthly topics revolved around architecture, neighbourhoods, landscaping, and in September interior design. We have interviewed designers, architects and developers and learned a lot about the new home industry. For October, we decided that it was time to focus more on what you, the homeowner, can be doing to enhance your home.
We’re going to try to cover all the bases this month. Some of you may be hosting your first Thanksgiving in your new home; some may need some tips on how to scare the living daylights out of trick-or-treaters. We’ll even be covering some more serious topics, like winterizing your home and maybe even some tips to help you get ready for the upcoming holidays (okay, so that’s not the most serious topic, but it’s never too early to start thinking about the holidays.)
We will also be touching on home renovations. Many major renovations require a professional, but you will be surprised at how many small projects you can do around your home that will make a huge difference!
As usual, we invite anyone who may have some great DIY tips to offer to please contact lucas@homebuyers.com. Whether you’re a professional contractor with some helpful tips for amateur handymen or a mother with the secrets to the perfect Thanksgiving, we want to hear from you!
We hope that you find DIY Month helpful and informative. We’re looking forward to sharing and learning with you throughout October!
