Oakford by Grandfield Homes Sells out in One Day!
By Lucas on Jun 06, 2014
The last time we featured Grandfield Homes’ Oakford community in Markham, we were admiring the stunning home designs by Stephen Hunt. Just last week, Grandfield hosted the preview opening of Oakford, and they completely sold out!
To sell out a community in one day at a preview opening is pretty outstanding. So what exactly attracted homebuyers to this markham community?

Oakford is comprised of 48 units, and nearly 300 people lined up for the preview event! Only about a third of the people in line even made it into the sales centre before all the units sold.
It wasn’t just Hunt’s impressive three-story designs that attracted these Markham homebuyers. It is rare to find a luxury, detached, infill community near an existing park and school. Home hunters recognized how rare this opportunity was and jumped on it. You have to hand it to Grandfield Homes for realizing the potential of the site and working hard to present a community that exceeded Markham’s high standards of living.

Another reason Oakford was a tremendous success was because of the two award-winning designers bringing the homes to life. Hunt Design Associates won four BILD Awards this year alone, and they have designed communities and custom homes in some of the Greater Toronto Area’s most prestigious neighbourhoods. And Jacqueline Glass & Associates, who was responsible for the interior design at Oakford, is a regular guest expert on CityTV’s CityLine. With the combined expertise of these two design firms and Grandfield Homes, Oakford truly had a dream team behind its creation.

But wait, there’s still another reason why Oakford sold so quickly. Grandfield already has a model home built and they are ready to break ground this September. That means they have closings scheduled as early as February 2015! A great location, plus award-winning designers, plus quick closings, equals selling out a 48-home community in one afternoon.
Even though Oakford sold out, they will still be hosting a model home opening for purchasers and the families of purchasers to tour. This was originally supposed to be the grand opening, but there’s obviously no need for that now.
Everyone here at Newinhomes.com congratulates the Grandfield Homes team on their recent success. Be sure the keep your eye out for Grandfield’s next community, which is coming soon!
