Streetcar Developments

Reserve Properties

Context

To make the decision process slightly easier, here are a few projects by each developer. Check it out and make an informed vote!

The Daniels Corporation

One of Daniels' high profile projects in Toronto’s Entertainment District is Cinema Tower. Only a few units remain, and prices are starting in the $400,000s. Daniels' Rent2Own program is available at Cinema Tower, with prices starting at $1,930/month. With construction close to completion, occupancy is taking place this summer.

Daniels should also be recognized for their work in Regent Park. They have partnered with the Toronto Community Housing Corporation to transform the once derelict area into one of Toronto’s most vibrant communities. One Park Place is Daniels' major condo development currently underway in Regent Park. Prices are starting in the $200,000s, and the South Tower is coming soon!

Urbancorp

kingsclub

One of Urbancorp’s largest developments in Toronto is Kingsclub Condos at 1100 King Street West. There are over 600 suites comprising Kingsclub. Located across the street from Liberty Village, Kingsclub has been attractive to young professionals who want to live in a trendy part of Toronto, but not directly downtown. Urbancorp can definitely be credited as one of the developers responsible for the west end’s major transformation.

Pure Plaza

emerald-1

Plaza has many communities underway, but one that really stand out is Emerald Park. Being amongst the first high-rise condos to be developed in North York, Emerald Park can be recognized as the dawn of a new era for the neighbourhood. Emerald Park is comprised of two towers, will feature an innovative design, and is completely sold out. Once it’s complete, it will bring upwards of 1,000 residents to the area.

Streetcar

the carnaby

Streetcar is known for their boutique and mid-rise condos. One of their most popular projects that is currently underway is The Carnaby. Located at 11 Peel Avenue, near Queen and Dufferin, Streetcar is taking advantage of the trendy amenities that the Queen West neighbourhood has to offer. The Carnaby isn’t exactly a small condo, but it’s certainly not a soaring skyscraper. You can always rely on Streetcar to develop a building that is unlike anything else in Toronto.

Reserve Properties

109oz 1

One thing that Reserve Properties is known for is working with the local community to develop a condo that makes everyone happy. 109OZ is one of Reserve Properties’ developments that is currently selling, but under fire by locals and councillors. Reserve Properties has worked with the community for a long time now, but an agreement has not been met. We’ve discussed this before, and we don’t really understand why there is such a strong pushback against the project - it looks great to us!

Context

library district

Context is known for versatility; they develop all over the city. The east end, west end, the waterfront - everywhere. Library District is one of Context’s developments that is currently under construction in the west end. Construction is coming along smoothly, with a completion date scheduled for 2014. There are over 360 units at Library District, and it will be a great addition to the Bathurst and Front area.
