North York resident decides Emerald City is the place for her

Earlier this month, we visited ELAD CANADA’s Emerald City to check in on the construction progress of Block B, which features The Colours of Emerald City, Fifth on the Park, and The Park Club. While we were there, we also got some more information about The Peak, the next condo that will launch soon in Emerald City. With that in mind, we want to share a testimonial from a recent buyer at The Park Club, as well as some more details about The Peak.
Danielle Mercier works for a pharmaceutical company and currently owns a condo in North York. She loves her neighbourhood and was so impressed by the progress at Emerald City that she decided to purchase.
“When Emerald City first came to the market, I knew it would be ideal for me as I work near there. However, at that time, I had just purchased a condo downtown to live in,” she says. “Driving by every day, I saw the community being developed and I loved it. When The Park Club came along, I decided to buy a unit.”
Danielle purchased a 599 square foot one-bedroom+den unit with two bathrooms. As we learned during our visit, The Park Club is under construction with windows expected to arrive this June. The construction crew has reached typical floors, so the tower should rise about one floor a week. Occupancy is scheduled for early 2019. There is still a good selection of suites available with prices starting in the high $200,000s.

“I love the flexibility of the plan, but I’m also really excited about the great building amenities,” Danielle adds. She’s looking forward to having the security and convenience of a 24-hour concierge, and using the spa, which features plunge pools, a steam room, an infrared sauna, heated stone benches, showers, individual change rooms, and an outdoor zen terrace.
It was great for us to get another chance to walk around the construction site because the streetscape is really starting to come together. “That’s what really attracted me. The area is growing and the new Parkway Forest Community Centre is already constructed and in use,” Danielle mentions.
The Community Centre is the largest in North York and features a gym, a green roof, rooftop gardens, a running track, an arts & crafts room, a commercial training kitchen, a youth lounge, meeting rooms, a YMCA-run daycare, and an aquatic centre with an outdoor pool and pavilion.
“I’m extremely confident about the Emerald City development,” Danielle says. “This is good investment and it will be a great place to live. I can’t wait to move in!” In fact, she’s so confident that after she told a couple co-workers about the purchase, they both ended up buying as well!

The floor plans at The Peak will range from 475 to 928 square feet with one-bedroom, one-bedroom+den/flex, two-bedroom, and two-bedroom+den/flex layouts. There will also be four three-bedroom two-storey townhomes ranging from 962 to 1,635 square feet. Amenities at The Peak will include a party room, private dining, an indoor pool, and a sauna.
