New low-rise sales in Ajax and Milton to be hot this year

For the first few months of 2016, Brampton, Oakville, and Pickering have been the hottest spots for new low-rise sales, but according to the latest report by Trimart Research Corporation, Milton and Ajax had some very successful openings recently! Milton was one of the top areas with the most new low-rise sales in 2015, but Ajax wasn’t, so it will be interesting to see if Ajax ends up being an area to keep your eye on.
Listed below are five notable low-rise sites that saw a lot of sales last month:
Hawthorne South Village by Mattamy Homes
Placing first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list with an amazing 284 sales last month is Hawthorne South Village in Milton by Mattamy Homes. We think it’s pretty safe to say that the reason Milton is one of the top selling cities is because Mattamy is leading the charge. Mattamy has the resources to make these large-scale communities happen in a timely fashion and the quality is there.
Hawthorne South Village features village homes, rear lane townhomes, two-storey townhomes, as well as 30’, 34’, 36’, and 43’ detached homes. The homes range from 1,044 to 3,252 square feet. There will soon be a new release of rear lane and two-storey townhomes. Prices at this community are starting at $394,990.
Riverside Enclaves by Marshall Homes
Placing second with 56 sales last month is Riverside Enclaves, an Ajax community by Marshall Homes. All 56 of these sales were during opening month and the community is actually sold out now! There were 37’ and 50’ detached homes available, ranging from 2,389 to 3,227 square feet. Prices were starting at $695,990. Vales of Humber by Greenpark
The third position is taken by Vales of the Humber in Brampton by Greenpark. The community saw 18 sales last month. If you’re looking for a luxury home with a large lot in Brampton, Vales of the Humber is the community for you. The detached homes are available on 55’, 86’, and 100’ lots! We can’t even think of another community in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) off the top of our heads that features 100’ lots. The homes range from 3,170 to 7,683 square feet and prices start from $890,990 and reach above $1.6 million.
Mayfield Village by Aspen Ridge Homes
It wouldn’t be a Trimart report without another Brampton community on the list. Mayfield Village by Aspen Ridge Homes saw 10 sales last month! This master-planned community is probably one of the largest in Brampton, featuring 20’ and 25’ townhomes, 32’ semis, and 38’ detached homes. The homes range from 1,526 to 2,564 square feet with prices starting as low as $476,990.
The final position on the weekly Trimart Hot Spots list is taken by Westminster Highlands in Fergus by Reid’s Heritage Homes, with five sales last month. Reid’s Heritage Homes recently released a brand new collection of bungalow townhomes at their Fergus community, and they’ve been very popular. Other home types in the community include two-storey townhomes and 38’, 42’, and 50’ detached homes. The homes range from 1,223 to 3,056 square feet and prices start from $286,115.
