New Low-Rise Sales Heat Up with the Summer

Along with the temperature, new low-rise sales are reaching new heights, despite the summer being a typically slow season for the market, says Trimart Research Corporation. Last month, Brampton hit 4,074 year-to-date sales, securing its spot at the top of the list of cities with the most new low-rise sales in the Total Market Area (TMA). Milton is in a distant second with 919 sales, followed by Mt. Albert (East Gwillimbury) with 895. Oakville is in fourth with 885 sales and Barrie is in fifth with 725.
Listed below are a few notable low-rise sites of the last month:
Oakvillage - via Minto
Placing first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list with a very successful summer season is Oakvillage, a townhome community in Oakville by Minto. There were 180 sales at Oakvillage in the last month and Phase 1 is now sold out! The community features back-to-back townhomes and urban townhomes ranging to over 2,400 square feet, with prices starting as low as $434,990. Lakeside - via Empire Communities
Coming in second with 88 sales last month is Lakeside, a Brampton community by Empire Communities. Lakeside features townhomes, semis, and 38’ detached homes, ranging from 1,254 to 3,437 square feet with prices starting at just $379,990.
Junction - via Lindvest
The third position is taken by Spring Valley Junction, Lindvest’s latest development in Brampton. Based on the total number of sales Brampton has seen so far this year, it’s not surprising to see another Brampton community on this week’s Hot Spots list. Spring Valley Junction features 38’ and 41’ detached homes ranging from 1,953 to 3,467 square feet, with prices starting at $639,000.
Waterdown Meadows - via Aspen Ridge Homes
Taking fourth with 12 sales last month is Waterdown Meadows by Aspen Ridge Homes. Located in - you guessed it - Waterdown, the community is comprised of beautiful 40’ detached designs, ranging from 2,270 to 2,814 square feet. Prices start at just $605,990. Waterdown isn’t a super popular area for new homes this year, so if you’re looking for a high quality, affordable detached home, this is the place to look!
Willow Glen - via Brookfield Homes
Snagging the final position on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list with 11 sales last month is Willow Glen, Brookfield’s Tottenham community. Willow Glen features townhomes and a wide collection of 30’, 36’, 43’, and 50’ detached homes, ranging from 1,470 to 3,630 square feet. Prices start as low as $342,990.
