New low-rise sales in the TMA hit decade-high last February

According to Trimart Research Corporation’s latest report, the Total Market Area (TMA) saw 2,273 new low-rise sales in February 2016, which is the most for any February over the last decade. Not only is this a record high for the last 10 years, it’s a 58.8% increase compared to January 2016 sales. The new low-rise inventory is still on the decline, but hopefully all of the spring openings that are planned will provide the market with enough to satisfy the strong demand.
Listed below are a few notable low-rise sites of the last month:
Centre Point Towns by Marshall Homes
Placing first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list is Centre Point Towns, a new community by Marshall Homes. During opening month, Marshall Homes saw 124 sales at Centre Point Towns! The community features garden and terrace townhomes, ranging from 974 to 1,492 square feet, with prices starting as low as $319,990. If we keep seeing openings like this, Pickering is going to be one of the hottest areas for new low-rise sales this year.
Mount Pleasant North by Mattamy Homes
Coming in second is a Brampton community by Mattamy Homes, Mount Pleasant North. Last month, the community had 101 sales. Mount Pleasant North features 38’ detached homes ranging from 2,051 to 2,808 square feet, with prices starting at $619,990. As of last month, Brampton had the most new low-rise sales out of every area in the TMA, and we won’t be surprised if it stays that way for the entire year.
Mulock Vistas by Falconcrest Homes
The third spot is taken by Mulock Vistas, a successful community in Newmarket by Falconcrest Homes. Last month, there were 66 sales at Mulock Vistas. The community features a variety of townhomes ranging from 1,280 to 2,445 square feet, with prices starting at $575,990.
Forest Gate at Lionhead by Kaneff Homes
We have another Brampton community making an appearance this week; Forest Gate at Lionhead, a luxury detached home community by Kaneff Homes. There were 23 sales during its opening month. Lionhead is the city’s most prestigious golf course, so these homes are very desirable! The homes range from 2,406 to 3,354 square feet and start at $849,990.
Trafalgar Landing by Great Gulf
The last position on the Trimart Hot Spots list is taken by Trafalgar Landing, an Oakville community by Great Gulf. Trafalgar Landing offers 20’ townhomes, ranging from 1,815 to 2,175 square feet. With 12 sales last month, the community is temporarily sold out, but you can register to be notified of any upcoming releases.
