New low-rise sales are hot from Brampton to Whitby

The first new low-rise sales report of 2017 from Trimart Research Corporation announces that 87.8% of its annual forecast was achieved as of the end of November 2016. As Trimart tallies the December sales, they are predicting a total 22,000 new low-rise sales across the Total Market Area (TMA) for the year. Due to holiday closures, December is usually the slowest month of the year, but thanks to strong openings in the fall, Trimart believes the market will stay strong through the cold winter.
In the west, Brampton and Milton dominated with thousands of new low-rise homes. To the north, Barrie and East Gwillimbury were popular areas for families. In the east, Pickering and Whitby were hot. We expect these six areas to see sales growth through 2017.
Listed below are a few notable new low-rise sites of the last month:
Glenway by Andrin Homes
Placing first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots report is Glenway, a new home community in Newmarket by Andrin Homes. Phase 1 saw 55 sales and is now sold out. The community featured townhomes ranging from 1,686 to 1,948 square feet with prices from the high $600,000s.
Glenway by Lakeview Homes
The second spot is taken by Lakeview Homes’ offering at Glenway. With 46 sales, they are now sold out of Phase 1. Lakeview Homes’ collection at Glenway featured 50’ detached homes ranging from 3,000 to 3,730 square feet with prices starting from nearly $1.5 million.
Mulberry Meadows by Sundial Homes
Following closely in third with 45 sales is Mulberry Meadows, a new home community in Ajax by Sundial Homes. The community features a wide selection of homes including townhomes, semis, and 30’, 36’, and 40’ detached homes. The homes range from 1,195 to 2,768 square feet.
Urban Town Living by Treasure Hill Homes
Coming in fourth with 32 sales during its opening month is Urban Town Living, a new home community in Pickering by Treasure Hill Homes. The community saw 32 sales recently. Urban Town Living features urban townhomes ranging from 975 to 1,395 square feet with prices starting from $389,900.
Brownstones at Westown by Lindvest
The final spot on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list is taken by The Brownstones at Westown, a new home community in Toronto by Lindvest. At the end of last year, there were 15 sales of urban townhomes at the community. The homes range from 568 to 1,220 square feet and price start from $309,990.
