New Low-rise Market Defying Expectations

With housing starts continuing strong through July (according to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation) and the new low-rise market currently making strides, the industry is “defying market expectations of a gradual cooling in activity,” says Trimart Research Corporation.

Listed below are a few notable sites of the last month:

Mulberry Meadows - via Sundial Homes

Placing first on this week’s Trimart report with 16 sales last month is Mulberry Meadows, an Ajax community by Sundial Homes. The community features 36’ and 40’ detached homes ranging from 1,897 to 2,768 square feet with prices starting from $474,990.

Valleylands - via Fieldgate Homes

The second spot is snagged by Valleylands, Fieldgate Homes’ exciting Brampton community. Valleylands features link homes and 38’, 41’, 50’, 60’, and 70’ detached homes, ranging from 1,565 to 4,323 square feet. There were 14 sales last month; prices for available homes start at $409,990.

UWS - via Aspen Ridge Homes

Upper West Side by Aspen Ridge Homes also saw 14 sales last month. Located in Thornhill, Aspen Ridge is offering 41’ and 50’ detached homes ranging from 2,878 to 4,885 square feet. Prices start at $1,124,990.

Landscapes - Via Tribute Communities

In the fourth position, we have another Brampton community: Landscapes by Tribute Communities. This community saw 12 sales last month and now features townhomes and semis, ranging from 1,316 to 2,838 square feet. Prices start as low as $364,990.

Minto Longbranch - Via Minto

Taking the fifth spot is Minto Longbranch, a Toronto development that saw 11 sales last month. Minto Longbranch features a great collection of urban townhomes ranging from 1,060 to 1,700 square feet, with prices starting at just $374,900.

Mount Pleasant - via Rosehaven Homes

Brampton makes its third appearance on this week’s Trimart report, occupying the sixth position. The Neighbourhoods of Mount Pleasant by Rosehaven Homes saw 11 sales last month. The townhomes and 30’, 38’, 41’, and 45’ detached homes range from 1,327 to 3,715 square feet. Prices start as low as $399,990.
