By Lucas on Jan 16, 2017
The latest report from Trimart Research Corporation highlights a few new low-rise sites across the Total Market Area (TMA) that saw strong sales recently, and it also goes into a bit more detail about the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s (CMHC) December 2016 housing starts report.
Urban housing starts were concentrated mostly in Ontario, where a 37% increase made up for the decline we saw in November. Quebec saw an increase of 12.5% while British Columbia dropped 10%, but that was after a month with a 70% surge. Trimart predicts that housing starts will continue to see steady growth throughout 2017.

The community features townhomes and 46’ detached homes, ranging from 1,578 to 3,466 square feet. Milton was one of the areas with the most new low-rise sales in 2016.
