New home sales expected to stay strong through the summer
By Lucas on Jun 16, 2016
According to Trimart Research Corporation’s incoming new home sales figures, this spring is shaping up to be the most active spring ever in the Total Market Area (TMA). As of the end of April 2016, 37.5% of Trimart’s annual forecast had been achieved, and May was really busy.
With no signs of demand slowing down and the shortage of supply continuing in the resale and new low-rise markets, Trimart is predicting that the strong sales are going to continue through what is typically a slow summer.
Listed below are a few notable low-rise sites of the last month:
Vales of the Humber by Starlane Homes
Placing first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots report is Starlane Homes’ Vales of the Humber, a luxury home community in Brampton known for its large lots. The community features 57’, 65’, 75’, and 85’ detached homes, ranging from 3,478 to 6,075 square feet, and there were 100 sales recently. Prices start at just over $1 million.
Country Lane by Heathwood Homes
Coming in second with 87 sales during its opening month is Country Lane, a new Whitby community by Heathwood Homes. Phase 1 of this master-planned community sold out very quickly. Phase 1 featured 36’ and 45’ detached homes ranging to more than 3,600 square feet. Keep your eye out for Phase 2!
Grand Central by Westin Homes
Following far behind in third with 29 sales is Grand Central, a new home community in Bradford by Westin Homes. The community features a large variety of detached homes on lots from 27’ to 43’. The homes range from 1,366 to 2,976 square feet and prices start from $519,990.
